Take Care Of Your Health If You Want to Win

You know what? All the know how, all the strategies, planning, advertising and the like, wont make a bit of difference if you are not healthy. We all now realize that stress is not good for us.  We also know that all stress cannot be avoided, however, we can cut some of it out and try to focus n the positive stressors in our lives.

Like the stress of making that first sale, the first positive review, providing what the families want in addition to what they need. These are positive things but still they expose us to stress. Suppose we can’t make these things happen?, now that’s negative stress, too much stress and it shows up in your body as symptoms. Headaches, poor eating habits, sleep derivation. These stress can lead to hypertension, weight loss/gain, mod disorders, etc. That isn’t what I call winning.

What does the Bible say about stress?

Jesus said, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?” (Matthew 6:2527)

Sometimes we stress over money because we never seem to have enough. Many families and individuals are stressing on how to make ends meet, barley living paycheck to paycheck and others become materialistic and stress over how to maintain that lifestyle. Materialism can lead to stress because we seek the world’s goods, we have fallen for the deceitfulness of wealth.

19 but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. (Mark 4:19) These things do not relieve stress and do not lead to happiness, contentment and joy.
Jesus offers us great encouragement in John 14:1: “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.” We desperately need Him in our lives. We need Him because He is the only one who can give us the strength to cope with the troubles in our lives. Believing in Him does not mean that we will have a trouble-free life or that we will not succumb to stress in our lives. It simply means that a life without Jesus Christ makes coping with stress an impossible and often debilitating task.
Perhaps, the best scripture to teach us how to deal with stress is, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” The Lord tells us not to be anxious about anything, but rather to turn everything over to Him in prayer. (Philippians 4:6-70)

(Psalm 55:22) tells us,  Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

You see, if you seek guidance, and apply that guidance and of course do you do diligence, like getting enough rest, eating properly for health and stamina, see the doctor regularly and then maintaining the path God has created for you, you will find that you are indeed a winner!

Stay Focused

My God, my God, if any one tells you being a winner is easy, they are lying to you. It is one of if not the hardest thing you will ever do.

If you knew all I have gone through this last three years but especially the last six months, you would be amazed that I am still able to function much less win. However, I will share with you that it is no secret. It is hard work, it is dedication, it is passion, and above all these things, it is faith and belief that I am worthy to be a winner.  I know it is my destiny. This has to be your mindset if you want to be a winner.

There will be much adversity, many obstacles, lots of hate (while they smile and which you well), You must stay strong, seek to bring your goals into existence.  Have a single focus, do not be distracted. There is so much going on right now, and  it   is so easy to lose sight of your intention. I promise you, if you keep your eye on the prize and strive every day to reach it, and keep your faith, and not grow weary, you will make it. I know I will or I will die trying. This is my attitude because I know God wants me to succeed, I am daughter of the Most High and like any father, He wants my (our) success. The world is watching, what are you showing them?

The Struggle Continues

Whenever you are following the path God has for you, you will find out that there will be many struggles that come up. I’m not sure if these situations are testing your resolve to obtain your goal(s) or just dark forces at work to make you quit. Either way, stay the course, never give up, never surrender, because if you do, you will always wonder what if.

I personally will never say what if because I will never give up, I will succeed, that’s how I’m made. I may have to step back and regroup, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but trust, I’m coming back stronger, wiser, better, than before. But don’t wait on me, do your thing, make it happen. You can do it! I have faith in you and me! Let’s Get It Now!

Do your due diligence, and then step out on your faith. Don’t listen to the naysayers, never mind what it looks like, don’t wait for all the stars to align, none of the greats did, did they? If they did, are they great? Keep your mind focused on the positive and remember a failure is just a stepping stone. Learn the lesson of the failure, make corrections, and go again.

Never give up, so many have and right before their breakthrough, don’t let that be you. Keep striving, keep fighting, keep praying, keep doing at least one thing everyday that brings you closer to your dream. As long as you are alive, breathing and thinking it is never too late to WIN. What will it take for you to WIN?

Your Why?

A few months ago I published a blog talking about my Why (you can read it here). I think it is of the utmost importance to know yourself and what your Why is. What is it that makes you want it. What are you willing to do to get it?

The thing that you are willing to go all in for, win, lose or draw, that’s your Why. Remember, your Why is not like anyone else’s it is uniquely you. The path to discovering your why is not always an easy one.   When you find your Why, you will have to commit to your Why, above and before all other concerns, it is definitely not an easy.

If you think you will only have to deal with these issues in the beginning stages, you would be wrong. You will be tested, tested and tested again. You must remain true to your goals, ambitions, and motivations. If you want it, you will have to have singular vision and continue to strive for your success.

I am thinking of the last hurdle I had to overcome. Trust, it was not even directed and my business. The attack came upon my living situation. However, I continued to pray and have faith that it would all work out. I never stopped doing at least 1 thing daily to maintain / grow my business and even though I was essentially homeless for about 30 days, my business never missed a beat. This is what I mean by maintain a single focus on what it is you want to achieve.

Remeber, nothing worth having and keeping comes easily.

Don’t ever listen to the naysayers,  they will never understand you. Some mean well, others do not. Don’t let that matter, don’t let them take up space in your head. Shake them off and continue to do your thing, focus on your Why, and in the end, you will be a Winner!
